After doing a rootkit search with AVG it seems to think that the file "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamUI_1035.mst" is a rootkit! I don't know what to do - whether i should remove it now or leave it so I can have confidence that steam will still work? Anyone got any ideas or past problems like this?

Hello, I have 2 problems. Firstly, whenever I search something on google or yahoo, it redirects me to random sites every once in a while. It is really annoying! It seems to only do this to me in Firefox. Secondly, my anti-virus keeps detecting a rootkit that has something to do with tdlwsp.dll. I delete it, but it keeps coming back! ...

Hi. This is my first time here. I need to know how to delete(remove) Rootkit from my computer. When I try to, I get a message that I do not have permission. I am listed as the System Adm. I was told to download the program by AVG to aid in the process of them fixing their program. They can't seem to fix it and I would like to remove the program since it didn't preform as ...

Hi. Well, in a misguided effort to help myself I downloaded Trendmicro rootkitbuster from your site. I thought it would just scan and then tell me if I had a rootkit and get rid of it. But it obviously assumed user knowledge I don't have. It said it found 34 hidden files, and listed them. They were from my favorites list, and not hidden at all. They are probably off ie's favorites, which ...

Hello, Today I've send an e-mail to newvirus(at)kaspersky.com which cointains possible rootkit but few minutes later Kaspersky Lab send me an e-mail that: "No malicious code was found in this file." I'm nearly 99% sure that this file is nasty and harmful to my computer. For example here it is the anubis analysis for this file: http://anubis.iseclab.org/?action=result&a...amp;f ormat=...
