yep, looks like it's true. read about it on wikipedia or just google it. apparently he's been alluding to quitting the band since january this year, but now it's done. this is a pretty big shock to me, rhcp were one of the biggest bands in my life for ages and frusciante was one of my first guitar inspirations and i feel slightly disturbed by him quitting the band. rhcp have been...

John Frusciante has left Chilli Peppers to start something on his own and has already been replaced by Josh Klinghoffer. they are crazy for letting this happen!! he was the rock of RHCP in my opinion. Looks like another typical great rock band is falling apart.

I'm just curious what your fav RHCP album is and your reason... I'll start off: My favorite RCHP album is Californication I enjoy this album because the meaning behind songs like Scar Tissue and This Velvet Glove are songs about self reflection which make this album (which has a lot of awesome high-energy songs like Get on Top and Right on Time) even better and, in my opinion, evens it out ...

personally, I feel that while it isn't their best album -not by a long way - it encompasses everything the John-ified RHCP came to be, as it was melodic, funky in parts and full of emotive guitar playing. It was a decent enough way for the "classic/best selling" lineup to bow out. discuss. _________________ -Dan

I do. It's true. I own 4 of their albums and they were the second band I ever got into after Chili Peppers. Obviously they don't hold a candle to RHCP but they're still a good band. Don't get me wrong, often their singles are shite. Rockstar has got to be one of the worst rock songs I've ever heard and the video was painful too. But come one their albums as a whole are usually pretty darn good ...

NOOOOOOOO! He was the best one!!! The RHCP were sh!t without him and his solo stuff isnt the greatest... together though, it was... I am very upset at finding this out. The only thing music wise than this would be finding out that Dave Grohl broke up the Foo Fighters... Thoughts fellow Chili Peppers???
