I have absolutely no idea what raid is apart from a way to set up your HDDs. I am building a PC that will be doing ALOT of downloading. Usually 20-30gb a night so I will be getting 1tb drives and adding them as needed. Should I look into a raid setup?

I have a 640 gig raid 1, produced with disk utility, attached to Leopard server. I'd like to increase the size of the raid. Would the following process work? I dont know if this exists, but I thought someone might know. Basically, I would like to get a 2.5inch external RAID setup. In my mind, it would essentially be 2 hard disks together with a 1:1 redundancy and a USB connection. does something like this exist or do I need a proper computer to perform the RAID functionality?

Naja, das mit der Fragmentierung ist gar nicht so abwegig. RAID-0 ist sowas wie der Tuning-Spoiler der Storage. Das darf in einem "echten Gaming-System" nicht fehlen, doch man versteht überhaupt nicht um was es eigentlich geht.
