I've been in heavy document-editing and writing mode these last couple of weeks, and have had to deal with a few idiosyncrasies in Pages. 1/ Why on earth does the Format-->Font-->Capitalisation section have options for "None," "All Caps," "Small Caps," and "Title," but you can't convert all-capitalised text to lowercase ? 2/ The mystery of the disappearing footnotes. While editing a ...

Computer Talk

I'm looking for a program to convert .vob files to .mpg, .wmv or .mp4 without any unwanted side effects like spyware (Auto GK), screwing up the rest of the system (Super C), distorting sound (Movavi), etc. I'm perfectly willing to pay for it if it's free from quirks like these. Any Suggestions?

E90/E91/E92/E93 (2006 - current)

I've had my 335xi for about a month and my wife and I love the car! But it has two small quirky things. I've searched the posts here and can't find anybody else with similar problems (unless the car has 170k miles on it) 1. The heating/ac fan will occasionally change speeds. If the fan speed is high, it will drop noticeably for a second or two and then recover to the original speed....

I searched the forums and it seems no one has posted a thread about Clubman quirks yet. So for to-be owners and interested parties out there, could current Clubman owners list their experiences with the Clubman's undesirable quirks? If you don't mind, explain if the quirk is common with your batch or with all Clubman's. I hope the list would help people figure out if the con's can be lived ...

M3 Series (E36)

This has been bugging me forever, but I keep forgetting to ask about it.... When I'm driving/moving and I take my foot off the throttle, I've been noticing a whistling/squealing type sound. I'm at a loss for what it could be. I can't hear it when I'm accelerating/curising with throttle, so I'm assuming it has something to do with the TB when it's closed. Any ideas? ...

The only 'quirk' I have that I can think of now is that I love blue glass and blue plastic containers. If I need to buy perfume or whatever, if it comes in a blue glass bottle I buy it, dont even bother to smell it first, about 80% of my cosmetic products come in blue glass or blue plastic containers.

I just realized what I can post here! When I'm sleeping in a room by myself, I have a really REALLY hard time sleeping with my back to the room. I just can't do it, I get too freaked out thinking about what might be sneaking up on me. But I can sleep facing the room just fine, even though my eyes are closed.

OH! he just reminded me of one! DS has my cot comforter, from when I was a baby. It was covered with pink hearts and has the fabric frill type thing around the edges.. so I thought id make some covers so they look more boyish. Well.. Someone has to have the doona with the buttons (bottom) at his head end.. and he plays with the frill. Alot of the time when I go in there, he's got ...

noises are strange, they can seem to come from places far away from the source. Check if the noise changes with clutch (let off the gas, listen for the noise, push in the clutch, see if the noise changes). If it does change with clutch I would say it is diff or trans gear whine...
