I got one video-stream running, in QuickTime, has so since the last 10 hours. Also a finished stream from another program. The latter I made a segmented copy from, via QuickTime. Copying the file to my desktop started, but just left a small file, rather than 1 hour of video. The window of this copy can't be closed. I have moved this file to the Trash. One stream is still running, ...

I have Quicktime Player 10 which I have used for viewing online TV shows and TV movies on my iMac. Problem is the video screen in QT Player only has two sizes, very small (4" x 2-1/4") and medium (about 4-1/2" x 8"). I was wondering if Quicktime Pro 7 would allow me to enlarge the video screen for larger viewing, and if so would clarity be lost?...

Sorry all bit of a noob question but if I edit a h.264 .mov file (just to cut a section out) in QTP and then just save as "self contained movie" does it re-encode the whole thing or is it effectively lossless? Thanks, wysi

I've loaded Quicktime MOV-files, made with my JVC GY-HM100E videocamera (better know as the "apple-cam") in my Windows Vista Ultimate (64) computer. I tried to view them with Quicktime Pro version 7.6.5 with additional MPEG-2 component installed. Sadly I only hear sound and get no images (videoscreen stays black). Does anyone know what to do to play those files in Quicktime Pro?...

thanks in advance for any help or suggestions offer. I have a new imac, I have installed QT7 from the extra discs provided and based upon another thread I read, apparently there is no QT item in system preferences in Snow Leopard to place the registration number. I did do a restart after installing QT7. If I understand correctly upgrading happens in QT7 Registration. I have my ...

I was just installing the current Final Cut on my Mac Pro with Leopard and it said I need to have Quicktime Pro first. I also own a family pack of Snow Leopard. If I upgrade the Mac Pro to SL first, do I still need Quicktime Pro or will Quicktime X be fine?

Hi, Im on 10.6.2, I already had Quicktime X installed on the machine, which came with Snow Leopard, But I just purchased Quicktime 7 Pro, and wanted to install that, when I tried, it would not let me because QT X was already installed, so I throw QT X in the trash, then try and download pro, but still, it says that QT X is still there. The reason I want QT Pro over QT X, is that ...

Hi, I used Final Cut Pro 6 for about two years, with Tiger then Leopard, and when working with SD footage shot on miniDV camcorder, I used this workflow to export a 16:9 film to burn on a iDVD project (using Quicktime pro 7): http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2179 Everything worked fine until now: 10.6.2 with Quicktime X and Final Cut Pro 7. I export films either on FCP7 as QT ...

Does anyone know when the Quicktime Pro X will be released? (I am aware that if I buy a QT 7 pro license right now, I can use it with Snow Leopard but I'd rather wait a little and get QTX Pro if it will be released soon.) MacBookPro 2.66 Intel ...

There's no need to you to be rude in response to a polite suggestion. My aim is to get you to the forum where you'll be more likely to get a quick and applicable answer when you have a question. Most Mac users will have no experience with QuickTime for Windows. If that's not important to you, fine, whatever. Message was edited by: Dave Sawyer...

The .mov file extension is actually a container that holds dozens of codec options. Your particular camera uses a codec option only available to Final Cut Studio. Many of the Final Cut codecs can only be opened in that application. iMac 3.06, (Mac mini and G3 given to the grandkids)...
