Hey Guys I have a 06 cobalt 2.2 and I was wondering how many quarts of oil I need to change my oil? Also any recommendations on which oil I should use please let me know. I have been putting the pennzoil synethic in my car but I am thinking about changing it to either castrol or royal purple. Thanks guys for any info that you all can give me.

I would like to invite the genius minds of this forum to elaborate on the need for running 6.5 Quarts of oil when reducing the overall oil system volume ( BS Removal).

I'm changing the oil in my 06' 2.0t 6spd manual and I'm trying to figure out the nominal capacity of the transmission so I know how much Redline MTL to buy. On various spec sheets I've found online, they list 01E and 02X transmissions as 6spd AWD, I know the 01E is older, but is the 02X for V6s only? Anyone know the code of our trannys or how much oil they take? The previous owner put ...

I know one is weight & one is volume, but here's my dilemma: I buy large 20 lb bags of cat food. I want to purchase a storage container from this site, and trying to determine which size to get: http://www.harrietcarter.com/kitchen_containers-st orage/rolling-bins/ I read online that 1 lb = 1/2 quart, so if 2 lbs = 1 quart, then the smallest bin...

I have a couple of quarts of bottom paint (never opened) that have sat for about six years. Assuming that I can shake/stir the paint back to a smooth consistency, should it still be good? The paint is Interlux Micron CSC.

Ok, my problem is that I can tell I am somehow burning oil, like today i checked and added oil i was about 1 1/2 quarts low, so i am burning oil some how, also when the car is idling there is no real sign of smoke other than just normal, if I sit at a drive through or stop light for a few seconds and then go, a blue tint of smoke appears and how big it is depends on how much gas i give it. i also...
You blokes don't use cups or quarts, but you do still use stones. That's bloody nuts. Anyway, this thread is for all sorts of inconsequential essential cultural ribbing.

I don't know if they are still on sale, but Tractor Supply (tractorsupply.com) had 1 quart bottles of Sta-Bil for $9.99. That's enough to treat 80 gallons. I use 2 quarts in my Sea Ray, and that's cutting it short... Ron

I switched to mobil 1 and my van started burning oil immediately . A lot of oil, maybe like 4 quarts/100 miles or so. I thought i had a costly repair heading my way. After counting all my pennies i decided to just change the oil again, (back to cheap stuff) and the problem went away. I'm confused, has anyone had this issue?
