I have a 4 cylinder, 2.2 liter dodge shadow. Does it only take 4 quarts of oil? 2000 SVT contour. how much quarts does the manual tranny take? I have no owners manual, so have no book to look at. I know when we had the older fourms just before the change, they said a 2000 took 2.1 quarts? is that right? And i have 3 quarts of the royal purple tranny fluid by the way

Finally Got those Mb quarts finally got the 4 quartz in this weekend running 2 dual subs to a 460 watt amp and then the stock amp goes for the front two speakers and the back two are supplyed by the mb quart 4 channel amp. Hello All: I searched the Body of Knowledge for this, but I could not get any hits on 'oil', 'change', or 'oil change'. Perhaps the search is not working? Anyhow, is the 2009 4.6l in my Grand Marquis actually 6 quarts at an oil change? I was surprised by this; I think was back in 1991 my 4.6l Crown Vic was 5 quarts? Just figured I would let you guys know that Advanced has the Mobil 1 oil and filter on sale for $30 bucks if you are close on your oil change. I am going to change mine here before the snow falls.

I canned 9 quarts of beef roast and ground beef. I know that's not a lot but it is the first. My canner only holds 5 quarts at a time. I'm just hoping they have all sealed properly.

So I read all the threads I could on this and read the manual's instructions. I'm bleeding the system without the vacuum and it seems the system is not pumping all the coolant throughout the system. I removed about 5 or 6 quarts of coolant (from the two radiator hoses and the engine block), refilled the system (it would only take about one quart) and started the car with the two bleeder valves...

Just changed my oil yesterday for the second time since I owned my FJ. My question is: how many quarts of oil do you get in to reach the full mark when you do your oil changes? The manual says if you change your filter it should take 5.5 quarts of oil. Both times I changed it mine was right at the full mark with exactly 5 quarts. I'm using the toyota oil filters. I drained and changed the filter on my trans and I refilled it with 7 quarts. I read on here to start off with 7 quarts and go from there but the dipstick is telling me I have way too much fluid. Its showing over an inch above the full mark. I started the engine and shifted through all the gears and checked it with the engine idleing, it was high. I drove it a few minutes, still high. ...

Just bought 1987 560 sec for next to nothing. Its really straight, but is using about 4 quarts of oil a week. Odo shows 250000 miles but doesn't work. I know the oil tubes on the passenger side are broken. Question is: Is there any use trying to repair this engine, or should I find a good replacement? What would cause this excessive oil use?
