Hi ive git a 98 vt exec 5.0 ex unmarked police vehicle i was thinking of taking it down for a run at wsid its got 2.5 dual exhaust ,high flow cats and pacemaker headers also sports a/f. The factory specs are 179 kw and 430 nm of torque but im shure with the system im pulling a bit more. What times do u think i should expect for a quarter.

I laugh when I see others asking this....... and now I'm doing it. I just finished my 2276 build but its too hot to go to the drags here in Arizona. I've taken my car to the track a few times and ran the quarter mile. i usually run around 15.2 to 15.3. My RX-8 is stock. I was wondering what would be the optimal RPM to shift at. I've been shifting close to 9000. Also, how big a help is lowering the PSI in your tires. Would you guys recomend it? Any other tips are appreciated. Thanks.

Went back out last night and this is my best run of the night. Traction was terrible so there is still plenty of room for improvement with better tires and/or track conditions.
