I'm currently gaming a 34" SC Studio Select and have gone through a bit of a dry putting spell over the past few months. I almost hardly ever pull putts, Everything always seems to start just a little right of my intended line. Natually I'll blame the putter but I picked up my old Two Ball thats 35" and putts really seem to start more on line. Would a putter thats too short ...

What is your practice putting routine just before you go out and play your round? 1) I work on straight putts of one to three club lengths of my putter. 2) I focus on getting a feel for distance and consistent tempo on my stroke. 3) I work on short side hill putts and seeing the putts die into the hole. 4) I try to practice at least 30 minutes to an hour before the round....

I don't practice that long before a round. I'll putt for 15 minutes or so and then try to loosen up with some short irons and a couple drivers on the range. My putting routine before a round is just trying to get some feel of speed. I'll usually roll some putts to the fringe and not the hole. I'm just trying to get the idea of making putts out of my mind and into the midset of ...

Hi all, Ok so I am currently a high 5 low 6 handicap ( 5.8 as of right now ), but I am still putting 34-38 times a round. I shoot some good rounds where I only have 32 putts, but almost never below that. What putting aids can I use to help with this. My green reading seems to be pretty good, its just I tend to push or pull most putts. Thanks, Josh

I'm doing the putting drill on Doral, after winning a PGA Tournament Event, and I make so many the game eventually just rotates between 4 putts. One is a "gimmee" (I don't have to aim, just putt), and it's a long one. (this pic is the 43' gimmee). Long story short, I have the putt timer up to over an hour and I've made over 200 putts. I think the upgrade is maxxed out at 2.0....

We shot 69...2 double bogeys on the front 9 which is unheard of in a scramble and they were both 4 putts...both holes were about 1/4 of an inch from being birdies... It's really a mindset change that is hard to overcome...you really have to avoid the temptation to lag putts...ya just hit it hard at the hole for the most part which makes the reads of the green a lot different. The guys we were ...

It must be really undulating to leave such crazy second putts if you miss the first. It sounds like if you weren't directly under the hole with an uphill put you have very little hope of making it. I'm wondering...were there with any holes in one?? And what was the winning score???

Played 18 at Ashlar GC today. Ended up with a 79 (par 71), which I was pleased with. 1 birdie (a 35m chip in on the 12th from the back left rough surrounding the green), 9 pars, 7 bogeys (including three in a row on 16 through to 18 where I hade makeable par putts) and a double bogey. Putting probably let me down the most, since I managed to put about half a dozen of my regulation ...
