Im looking into getting a Scotty with my income return in Feb. I absolutely love the look of the Odyssey Black Series i #9 putter, but I tried out putters for over 2 hours yesterday and came to the conclusion that a milled face...ie the Scotty 2.5's they had in Edwin Watts felt the best. What makes these different from the XG and the Tour black and can you compare these with Scotty Cameron putters? what makes them so good? I thought upper end putters were getting away from insert technology?

I have a dozen old putters and I would like to create some display for the wall whereby the putters could be removed easily and the rack dusted as needed. Anyone have any ideas ? There must be a million pro shops around the world at the golf courses but I have never really played golf. I bet they have figured out how to display clubs... I just need some ideas. Thanks

Ok, I said I was going to put it on the pool room wall but, I've changed my mind! Why, owning 2 identical putters is silly plus I don't think the finish suits putting it on the wall. What are your thoughts on putters with and without inserts? Personally I love the feel, and look, of putters without inserts. I feel as if I can roll the ball better and because of the feedback I get it's as if my touch is really great. So, the question is, insert or no insert?

So I've researched putters and hit every putter at the local Dick's Sporting Goods. I feel the #9 style putters from Odyssey really have a great feel. Dick's only had the White Hot XG #9 not the White Hot Tour or the Black Series i so I have limited testing with these. Does any one here have an opinion on what they prefer and pros/cons of each? Thanks!

I want the exact same specs you have in that #9. It feels really good, but I havent hit a Del Mar yet to compare it yet. This is one of those purchases where Im going to but some time and effort into.
