I ordered and recieved rp3010 pushrods, listed for a 322 v-8, that are 8.25 inches long. The original pushrods in the engine are 8.375 inches long. Anyone have any suggestions where i might locate the proper pushrods?

I am looking for 2 adjustable pushrods (I will of course take all four if available) for establishing piston to valve clearance on a 99 evo. Thank you in advance.

I have mixed answers to the correct cold valve clearance on a custom engine with chromoly pushrods. The engine builder says .001" cold. I understand the thing about the chromoly alloy metal expansion is different than stock/steel or aluminum pushrods, etc. Does anyone have real world experience on this? I also have aftermarket swivel foot adjusters and ratio rockers on these heads,...

So this is something I've been wondering about... does the sewing machine noise coming from an improperly set up valvetrain sound differently between an engine with pushrods that are too short vs. too long? And I've got an engine that I torque the rockers down properly (stock parts), and I reach 20 ft-lbs, yet the rocker goes side to side still... what the heck is going on there?...

I have a 1975 Taylor SS for sale. It has the 455 olds in it. The motor flat topped the cam this summer, it has a new cam and lifters as well as 8 new pushrods. I have not even fired the motor since this has been done. Apparently when I lossened the fuel line I put a hairline crack in the tubing. By then I was tired and frustrated with it. The interior is in good shape, and it has the bushwacker ...

After installing cam, car idles OK put no power after run found all 16 pushrods bent. rods on cyl 3,4,5,6 are bent the worse. It sounds like cam timming is out, I am going to tear it down and check timming, but I am pretty sure it is set right(this would be my first in many not, but could happen) If it is not cam timming what could it be. Over tighten rockers? Spring height? Combination...

I'm getting a 360 short block and EQ cylinder heads. Called the company, they can include lifters and pushrods w/ the short block, it'll have an RV cam. How much work would it be to do the push rods and lifters my self? Also quality vs price for aftermarket, he said it would be SP stock lifters and push rods.
