Can anyone advise me please? I expressed and froze some breast milk yesterday, as I did not know when I may need it. Today I defrosted it and mixed it with blended carrots to make a puree. Is it is OK to freeze this puree? If not how long will it last in the fridge? Thanks Gill

I've come into a litre's worth of green apple puree and I'm wondering what I could use it for? I am on a bit of a budget and ideally, would like to use it to make something that where the leftovers can be frozen for later consumption. Suggestions? Recipes? Thanks.

Help! I have made to much pumpkin puree for my pies. I have nothing but pumpkin puree no other ingredients have been added. Can I freeze the puree? If so how long can I freeze it for? Do I freeze it in freezer bags, or freezer proof containers? Thank you for your help.

I had a great recipe for butternut squash - went something like this: roast the butternut squash in the oven scoop and put in to food processor puree in butter - either heavy cream or half and half - and some other things (brown sugar? honey?) Does anyone have THIS? Karen

I just started my LO on rice cereal this week (he is almost 5 months). We will be introducing other foods over the next few weeks. I was just wondering how long do most babies need pureed foods. When do they stop eating pureed food and eat completely solid foods? I got a Beaba BabyCook last week and am trying to figure out how long I will actually use it. Since it is pretty pricey, I ...

I was really looking forward to doing BLW with Eddie. I went the puree route (mostly shop bought too ) with Poppy and she is now a terrible eater and suffers badly from constipation as she won't eat her fruit and veggies Anyway, I thought BLW was brilliant and was happy to wait till 6 months before getting Eddie started on solids at all, but at 4 months he decided milk wasn't enough. We...

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I sure did and I was actually good. :) I am 5 weeks post op (Oct 23). I've had a problem going from the puree to the soft foods. I'm not getting enough Fiber in my diet. And let me tell you it hurts. Forgive the bluntness. I had to take 2 stool softeners and Benefiber in order to go. My question is this, what High Fiber Cereals do you...

Is this ok to do? I usually will mix DS's cereal with formula but he will eat it right away. This morning I made some fruit puree with formula and then put it in the fridge. Something tells me that I can't do this. Since formula can only last 24 hours in the fridge, and I believe it shouldn't be frozen either. But before I toss it out I figured I would ask. Also, not sure if this ...

We ate at Todd English's Blue Zoo this past week. I hadn't read much on these boards, but had seen great reviews on several foodie sites. We really enjoyed our meal--started off with appetizers--raw oysters and a great dish of seared scallops with short ribs over cauliflower puree--scallops were the best I have had in years. For entrees--two had the simply fish dish--one with ...

I'm confused about the different ways to wean and when to do it and would love to hear other parents thoughts.. I'm a bit torn between trying 'baby-led weaning' and the more traditional puree methods and would like to hear from parents who have tried either. I've also got a big baby who I suspect will be ready for more before 6 months is up. I'm currently breastfeeding and my baby has not ...
