So i ended up buying this but checking my door trim is only about half a inch on the outside oh the door. meaning there is no way to install this on the outside and still have a working door. i can hover mount it on the inside of the door but i would have to remove the door itself. didn't think about this when i bought it. anyone have any ideas what i can do to install this? thanks!

My question is how much of the stuff do I really need or will I be okay with not using ...
