So, I have a simple question. Why makes PUG groups so different then guild runs? All I hear, in 5 mans, 10 mans, 25 mans, and in battlegrounds "dayumnit I hate pugs!" or "wow pugs suck!" or stuff like that. What makes pugs fail to a group setup in your guild, or from your server?

The new dungeon finder makes it MUCH harder to set up raid pugs. This is kinda annoying when I have a small guild which always has to use randoms or non-guild friends to do 10 mans. We used to pug Uld every week and it was fun and not so hard....now its impossible to get a group together. Can a blue say why Blizz has done this...is it to discourage small guilds or was it just badly thought ...

Anyone run into these PuGs often? I've wiped twice in Ahn'Kahet, first time being that the entire group had advanced too far into the room and pulled all the packs. Doh! Let me just add that I enjoy a good PUG evEry now and again. In fact, when I first transferred to this server shortly after TBC launched I had to PUG everything since I knew noone here. It was due to those PUGs that I became acquainted with some really good folk who I have since befriended. Except for Ery of course but Ery's a git so he doesn't count.

Ive had a fair share of bad pugs, couple i can recall. In an OS 25 when we pulled the drake with 2 guardians, we were working on the guardians and a warlock was spamming about going into the portal to kill the guardian in there, when we kept telling him after we kill these 2 outside. So he goes in, and a shammy follows him. he dies and goes all nerd rage cuz he didnt get much support from that...

The pugs I've joined in the last couple have been ok. I had a H VH group on my prot pally where I was top on the dps chart, but considering she's way overgeared for the instance, I was able to carry the dps somewhat.
