I have tried several different meds over the past year for my son who is 6. Currently he just started the patch, which I am still not sure about. This is the second psychiatrist I have used since he started taking the medication and I am still not satisfied. Maybe it is just me, but I don't feel they are supportive or have my child's best interest at heart. I seem to do all my own research...

To sum up, dh has been depressed and on meds (but not in therapy for most of this time) for nine years. Almost exactly a year ago he had a soft suicide attempt, was hospitalized, and has since been on meds and in intermittent therapy.
