I have a Proxima DP6800 (a.k.a. DP6810, Hitachi CP-X950W/E [native model number?]) that has a burn spot on the blue polarizer (not the LCD). I contacted a local Proxima repair depot, and they said that the polarizer isn't sold separately, and I'd have to buy the entire optics assembly for $450.00. Ouch! Does anyone have a basket case they would want to part with, or a known source of these...

So I have a chance at getting a complete bike w/ Cinelli Proxima frame w/ DuraAce components for $700-800. I think Cinelli only markets frames and I have no idea how much DA components are worth. Is this a good price for a bike with DA components?

Need JUST the lamp for Proxima DP5800 projector. I have the housing. I don't want to pay the premium for the whole lamp. I got a lamp for the projector and re-plastered it and it goes off and on at regular intervals, makes like a buzzing sound. keeps repeating this process. its driving me crazy. what would cause this? i got a picture for like 2 seconds and then shuts off again. I took a video of ...

In reading through the vast knowledge base of the forum, I've come to the conclusion that blue polarizer burning is one of the most common failures (other that lamps) for projectors. For my Proxima DP6800 (a.k.a. Hitachi CP-X950), I've become the victim of the yellow spot condition. I've spent several weeks trying in vein to find a replacement filter, but no joy. The best I can find from ...

Dark power: Grand designs for interstellar travel 25 November 2009 by Marcus Chown SPACE is big," wrote Douglas Adams in his book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. "You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is." He wasn't exaggerating. Even our nearest star Proxima Centauri is a staggering 4.2 light years away - more than 200,000 times the ...

Hi, I have a Proxima ultralight x350 I got for free a while ago and fell in love with projectors. Now it has broken and I am not sure whether I should repair it or just buy a new one. The projector will turn on for a few seconds but then stops projecting. I'm not sure how hard it is to repair an out of production projector. Thanks

The Earth would be the size of a pea and would be roughly 70ft away. Sun was a bowling ball in Washington DC... our nearest stellar neighbor, Proxima Centauri, would be a billiard ball... in Fairbanks Alaska. We choose to go to the moon. - JFK, 1962
