Depends, what Visa status are you on? When it comes to visa renewal if you are on a Work Visa, teaching privates won't fly with immigration. I think if you are even thinking about doing privates you have to have your own place. I think students never truly relax in a coffee shop. Too many people around, maybe even eavesdropping. Yeah, it seems very reasonable. It is at the rec center of the university where DH works so they are only available to student, staff and staff families. We also get to swim there all weekend during the school year for free!
