We got the end of term news sheet with the round up of new for the year and one of the notices on it was that in the new year that the swine flu jabs would be available and that consent forms would be sent home to be signed. Has any one else heard of this happening?

Hello all, I am a student teacher (Primary) and was getting a bit confused as I am aware that there are non-statutory guidelines for the teaching of RE but wasn't sure if all primary state schools legally had to teach it or not.  If anybody could clarify this for me that would be fantastic. Thank you!

Hi all, I live in Sorrel Park (Clonsilla, Dublin 15), which is 3 mins walk from St Mochta's school. Went there for information to register my son, and was told I am not in their catchment area. Searched all over the web for a kind of a map showing the schools and their catchment areas, but couldn't find even basics information (for instance, on the site of the school, what is their ...

We are moving up to Bundy next year and will have 3 primary school aged kids. We were looking at the Christian College but have decided against it at this stage until we get to know the area better. So what primary schools are good? Also, has anyone moved from Canberra to QLD - can you let me know how the year structures work? Our eldest would be going into year 4 here but has been told...

Hi, I am a trainee teacher working on an assignment titled "identify the key issues underpinning effective teaching of science in primary schools to develop pupils' Sc 1 skills"   Was just wandering if anyone has any knowledge they wouldn't mind sharing or could point me in the right direction of where to find some relevant info. Thanks.

Op I feel your pain. I live in Limelawn, which is the nearest school to St. Mochtas, and we are not entitled to send our kids there. It amazes me that the St.Mochtas catchment area extends to Castleknock on one side and down past Ongar in the other direction, taking in Mount Simon and Portersgate along the way. From the railings of my estate to the front wall of St.mochtas is at most 50 ...

Hi A question for all those mums out there, how did you research primary schools before your move to oz? Was it a major factor in terms of where you lived? (Might seem an obvious question but affordability of the suburb is a big concern for us). Did you base your research on where to live on primary schools? cheers Roobush
