After pressing ENTER "write" program should quit. Normally when you run "write" you can write next line after pressing ENTER and you can quit "write" with ctrld+d. What possibilities I have? If there's no floppy drive in your PC look for an option in the BIOS (the thing you get in to when you press F2) to tell it there isn't one present. I think the error may be caused by it looking for something which isn't there. The fact that it has started doing this suggests a possible problem with the BIOS battery or the BIOS itself.
