My doctor is having me take the one-a-day prenatal combo package (one pill has dha) while we are ttc. I'm wondering if there's a good place to get them for a "bargain" price. Any ideas? tia!

I am a big whimp when it comes to swallowing pills. The prenatal vitamins I'm taking are HUGE! I have cut them in half, but even those are hard to swallow with the jagged edges. And to make matters worse, once in awhile my throat muscles get tight and it is hard to swallow any food. This morning I cut the pill into even smaller peices and put it in my breakfast, but I ended up chewing one of ...

How long can a pregnant women receive a massage. Is two hours too long even if they are on their side? Answer Hi Amber, Thanks for your question. A typical Prenatal massage is 30, 60 or 90 Minutes. I prefer working for at least 60 minutes, as changing positions and getting prepared does take a little extra time. In a healthy pregnancy, it is safe to do prenatal massage for longer ...

I've been on two types of prenatal (PruET DHA and now PreferaOB DHA) and both make me feel nauseous. I do not suffer from m/s but the pills make me feel like I am. I eat a few crackers when I take them and have moved from taking them right before bed to taking them at breakfast in hopes it will not make me feel sick. Anyone else feeling this way?

I am looking for good prenatal exercise classes in the valley. Preferably in the Allentown, Macungie, or Breinigsville area. I am interested in aqua, yoga, Pilates, or aerobics. Any suggestions are appreciated!

If you forget your prenatal-- or *think* you forgot it, but can't remember, is it better to take a second one, or to skip it, just in case it was already taken? Does that make sense? Also I threw up my breakfast yesterday and I had taken my prenatal vitamin maybe 5 or 10 min before I threw up, so I figured taking another one would be the right choice, but is it better to skip it if you cant ...

My DH and I aren't actively TTC, but after a 9 day late AF and not being incredibly careful in the protection department, I figured it's time to start some prenatal vitamins. I'm pretty positive the answer is yes, but I should be taking them now right? And... what brand have you used? Can you tell me some pros and cons? Side effects? TIA!

Are prenatal vitamins really necessary? Can I just take 2 Flinstone vitamins? Regular ones have always made me sick. I have to split the Flinstones 1 in the morning and one in the evening as it is :/

Is anyone taking any prenatal classes?? I want to take a nursing class but I feel so weird, being this is my 6th baby, but I never nursed the others only my last and it wasnt how I wanted to it, because he had difficulty latching, so I would nurse and pump, I want to exclusively nurse this baby, and I want to do it right. I am going to call later on today to get there 2010 schedule...

So, I had my first prenatal visit yesterday and shortly afterwards felt a funny fluttering sensation around my cervix (well, that's where it feels like it's coming from). It definitely is not around my abdomen where any baby movement would be...and plus I'm only 10w4d, so I couldn't be feeling baby. I felt it three times yesterday, and once this morning, so far. Has anyone else had this? Is ...

During the first trimester, I had very little morning sickness. I was very thankful for this (and still am) Last week I went to get my prenatal vitamins refilled at the pharmacy (right at the clinic, which while I have a prescription, they are considered OTC) and they had stopped making/carrying the type of prenatals I have taken since July. They assured me the new ones were just as good / ...

I wind up on bedrest. BOO! My blood pressure was a little high, and my hands and feet are fairly swollen, so naturally my practitioner was suspicious of toxemia. We ran some tests and, even though they came back negative for protein, my BP was elevated again this morning, and so instead of sending me back to work with a clean bill of health, he sent me home with a Doctor's note and ...
