How long do you need to wait after an abortion before you can use a home pregnancy test and have it be accurate? what i mean is i was pregnant, had an abortion and now i think im pregnant again. but i know that they tell you not to use a test for a couple weeks after because it will still come up positive even if your not pregnant. how long do you have to wait? it has been almost six weeks.

I hope someone can help me. I am 20 years old, my boyfriend is 28, and we have been dating for almost two years. I have been having some pregnancy symptoms, and I missed my period this month. I found a pregnancy test in his closet that was probably left over from when he was married. The test's expiry date is 12/31/2009. Is it still accurate? I got a positive right away.

I took a test yesterday after being a few days late and it was positive! I am so excited but don't want to tell our families unti; all is confirmed with the Dr so I am sharing here so I can tell someone!! For our April 08 we tried in overdrive and it took 6mths, this time we left it up to nature and honestly barely 'tried' but it took no more than 2 mths.
