Okay, so I just posted the same post on the Chronic Pain forum, but wanted to tell you guys, too. Hope I'm not violating TOS or anything by double-posting... ---------------------------------- My powerchair was delivered today. It should help a lot, especially if I can figure out a solution for a vehicle to transport it. Right now I have a little (OLD) sedan and obviously there is no way...

My powerchair was delivered today. It should help a lot, especially if I can figure out a solution for a vehicle to transport it. Right now I have a little (OLD) sedan and obviously there is no way to bring a big, heavy powerchair in that car. I am probably going to be getting my mom's Honda CRV (small SUV) sometime within the next year, and the rep from the wheelchair place said that it ...

This year I got into shooting video from my powerchair. After a couple of different mounts to hold the camcorder, I finally put together a working one. Here is the link to the video of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xH-VdxPhfpA Cheers, Mark

How do YOU get broken powerchair home? How do you get broken powerchair home? I am unable to use a manual chair. Yesterday, a gearbox stripped out in my insurance powerchair, one mile from home. I was stuck. I always carry a cell phone, but did not know who to call. Who DO you call? Lucky for me, another powerchair user ...

Hi all - I am renting a powerchair from Buena Vista Scooters (Jazzy select), since my powerchair will not be ready in time for my trip. Has anyone had experience with Buena Vista Scooters, especially their powerchairs? I liked them when I spoke with them, but I think powerchairs are less forgiving of rough treatment than ECVs, so I am hoping that mine works well! Also, I know there are...

can anyone let me know what kind of power chair they suggest. Mine is a TDX 4 powerchair. I am a outdoor user and very active. After 6 years of hard use my seat is shot and my motors are shot. It has to climb up my carrier on my truck. I used a Pride Select 6 and flipped it over and got injured.

Colleagues - I had an emergency repair for my current powerchair. Had to replace controller when my chair pooped out in my office at work. Only one provider had one in stock and came out and replaced the bad unit. I paid out of pocket. I tried to bill insurance, they want a billing code. I don't know what code(s) to use. Is there one for service and one for the replacement part? Any Ideas? ...

I have been alerted by someone that my powerchair is making some noise. They suspected coming from the right drive wheel area and possibly bearings. It is not a constant noise. I am just wondering when these noises that happen normally during our wet rainy leafy season are something to be concerned with. Generally when I call the Wheelchair vendor I have used in the past it can take up to a month...

I just went to Mark's article index. It was great as he has an article in there on powerchair noise! YUP just what I needed. It made me feel like I did do the right thing today by calling my provider. I am probably going to find out also if anyone in the complex has a better provider. Mine is so far away that even in an urgent scenario (with a running chair) I could not even get there and sit ...

My friend Julie and I are Flying to Anaheim for a week at Disneyland. After a few hours in the Park she starts complaining that she's tired and her feet hurt and there must be some way that she could ride on the powerchair. I keep telling her it can't be done. Then she came up with with getting some of those shoes with the wheels in the heels and I could pull her along. I said at her age we would...

I need some insights here so that my batteries don't die. My powerchair is inoperable- most likely the right motor went out. I need to know how often to charge the chair so that I keep the batteries good. Karyn and Thane

I'm getting a powerchair/scooter to use every once in awhile. I use a manual full time, but have found myself declining certain activities because physically it's really hard to get around. A lot of events I enjoy going to end up being in gravel or grass. Physically I can push through it but it's more work than it's worth and ends up being exhausting/painful. The winter and snow is dreadful ...

Kira, congrats on the chair and I hope it makes a difference for you. I am in the same boat somewhat as my doc just approved a wheel chair. I can walk but long distances kill me especially when in a flaire. We have discussed a powerchair, but it does cost so much and I don't think I could get any funding. I am on disability and have seen that commercial where they say they can get you approved....

Yeah, kinda sucked that they day it came (today) we were having a major blizzard-- supposed to get 12-16 inches of snow -- so I can't exactly go out & about. I got the Invacare Pronto M91. Right now it just has the van seating (semi-recline) but the seating can be replaced with rehab seating if I need it later. I really need to look into funding sources for a vehicle lift because right...

...I always follow up with my team in these circumstances, as they allow me the privilege to learn every day, as well. You can simply unplug the attendant control. However, you will get the initial start-up error code that Windjammer describes each time that you turn on the powerchair, but it will clear itself in a moment, and the powerchair will operate totally normally. This error code is the ...
