So I tried gaming using my Linksys WRT54G router over my wireless connection and it went okay for the most part but there were far too many (one is too many really) times when I would lag out and end up taking damage because of lost packets (I assume that's what causes lagging where enemies and my character stop moving). A few seconds later it comes back but obviously the damage has been done. ...

Quote: BELLEVUE (AP) - Authorities say the driver of a logging truck drove with the boom arm raised, snagging and snapping overhead power lines for about 12 miles in northeast Iowa. The Jackson County sheriff's office says the driver didn't realize what happened until Bellevue city workers frantically waved him down on Tuesday before he entered the town. A telephone call to the ...

Running wires through existing walls is not that difficult given the proper tools. I wired my entire house (concrete, no basement) with cat-5 almost 15 years ago with 35 drops leading to a patch panel in my comm closet. The key tools are an electricians fish tape and a very long drill bit.

It depends on the earthing system used. Your schematic doesn't look right. See Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthing_system The connection to my house is TN-C-S. The cable entering the property is effectively coaxial with the outer screen forming the neutral and earth and the inner the live. Once it enters the building it splits into separate earth and neutral conductors....

Yep, aluminum & steel together. The smaller ones that bring the power from pole to home are generally all aluminum. You couldn't use steel for this purpose because it's high resistance would result in massive power losses, along with light(& smoke) emitting cables. Steel is often used for coax & component leads, but these are always plated to reduce resistance & are limited to short lengths ...
