I blew out the fuse on my Nissan Murano when I had a power inverter plugged in to

the dash cigarette lighter.? The additional cigarette lighter which I use to charge my phone also blew. I had someone check the fuses and they said they were all ok. They checked the fuses by my left knee area as well as a fuse area in the engine compartment near the passenger side. Any thoughts on which fuse blew and how I can narrow it down to get it fixed.

Is there a reset for the power inverter on the calibers?, daughter plugged in a a high amp draw compressor and the a/c voltage quit. If Not, where is the inverter located? Is it in the alternator itself ? Thanks,D.

We have my daughter's laptop Dell Inspiron 700m andwill be on a long 10 hr drive .... can I use my power inverter to connect with it on the trip? Its a PC50 (power-to-go) 50 watt contin pwr; 80 watt peak; 12 volt dc to 110 volt ac unit. The 700m has been refreshed (battery, hddrv, memory) and I don't want to damage it - but it would be nice to be able to use it - I havve my Sprint WiFi ...

Wiring Power Inverter to Fuse box.

I was trying to run my power inverter to the fuse boxes "spare/auxiliary" input. I was not able to get to the wires underneath the box though. Do I have to remove the fuse box to get to the wires? If so how do I get the box out?

I have checked the fuse and it is good, there is 12V to the plug(operations light), but no AC 110v.I will ask her to try it again or will try the batt. disconnect trick. Thanks, D.

In our TJ, we have a 400 watt one mounted under the front drivers seat. Out of the weather and prying eyes, yet high enough that if it does rain (unexpectedly) it's not sitting in a pool of water.

I'd use at least double the capacity of the laptop charger. This way heat dissipation in the inverter is lower and startup currents can easily be handled.
