I havn't got in on a dyno but I can't stand my throttle curve right now in my built SOHC. It like pulls then doesnt pull then pulls. basicly 5500+ It runs pulls good. SAFC Neo to tune it says at about 13.2-13.4 10.5:1, Crane 14, Box intake, FF LTH, UDP,Mag. head, ... Could my timing need a bit of adjustment? Degree? Should I just run this motor hard and start to build up a 2.4 on the side ...

Fitting a 95% confident power curve to data Hi guys, New to this forum. This is actually my first post. I have encountered a problem trying to process some data for my thesis that I know should be quite simple. I believe I should be able to perform the required action in excel but have been unable to find the information I need....

I'm trying to assign particles a random size between two values...then I want to be able to control the ratio of small to large based on a power curve. i.e. sizeMin value = 1 sizeMax value = 10 sizeRatio is a 0-1 attribute when sizeRatio = 0 -- all smaller ones (blue curve in image) when sizeRatio = .5 -- even distribution of small and large (green curve in image)...

i am looking to raise my rev limit to gain power under the curve. i have a t3 1.06 setup but gets slight choked just before 8k rpms. i am looking to rev to 8500-8800 rpms. would a t4 1.00+ turbine flow enough past the 8k range or could i keep my t3 1.06 and flatten off the timing map a bit more? document.write(' '); if ...

Since I have first heard about the FZ6 and R6 I have always wondered about the "10 HP that's lopped from the FZ6 motor" sentence. Everywhere you look on the web and in books, it is the same story. But yet, I have discovered in a mag, that the power difference on the DYNO is less so. Fine, I was comparing a FZ604' to a GSXR 04', but it should still be the same story. I also wonder ...

I’m currently very happy with the amount of power my car is producing. I have a protuned Cobb intake Invidia TBE set-up. My question is; if I do not want more hp but want the sensation of the engine “pulling” to redline, what would the mod path be? Or how do I achieve an increase in volumetric efficiency in the high rpms to at least stop the negative slope of the torque curve? It’s been ...

I'm not looking to compare numbers, just looking to compare power curves. Can't find much of anything for dyno plots on S3 cars. Ran mine today on pump at a 23 psi spike dropping to 20 psi by 6k rpm. Just wanted to see how the power curve compared to others.

I have read MXA's reviews of top privateer and factory bikes and they have completely different power curves than stock. My question is how to the race team change the power curve?
