Could somebody please tell me why Half.com takes a percentage of the postage that the buyer pays. I've sold a few items and have noticed this on all of them. Not long back I noticed that a buyer was charged almost $3.00 for shipping and I was only reimbursed approximately $2.25. This means that they are getting a bigger percentage for commission that isn't shown.

I'm thinking about adding some U.S. postage stamp designs to my shop and wondering if it's a copyright/trademark violation to do so? I've seen a few shops here on CP that feature U.S. postage stamp designs but, of course, that doesn't mean it's OK. I did some searches on the USPS website but couldn't really come up with anything definitive. Any suggestions or advice? - Bob

1. It's amazing how many sellers overcharge for postage, hoping buyers don't notice until too late; 2. how many sellers offer their items for the same price as more reliable major distributors; 3. how much junk continues to be offered on Ebay.

I don't mean for charity or anything I mean in an album. I just got a card from a friend in the I.O.M and it has a really lovely I.O.M Christmas postage stamp and has been stamp properly as they used to be stamped with the letters and numbers in a circle. If anyone would like it let me know. Love Chrissie xx

Can i print out postage for USPS through pay pal for packages that have nothing to do with Ebay? I don't know about you but this prepaid postage thing is awesome. I go to the post office and see this big long line almost out of the building and i just walk up and drop off my packages. I feel like a movie star.

I've got two packs of them sent to me in error by a company who subsequently said that they're not worth sending back. They are the following: Screen Protector SP P100 for HTC 2.8" PDA phone. They are free to anyone that wants to pay the postage for them.

I always take into consideration my packaging costs when I post. Afterall it is called postage AND packaging costs! Sometimes it can be pretty pricey to package items hence it can look like a massive over charge
So what would you do when you encounter a cheap product with a high postage? Bargain with the seller? Demand a lower postage? Especiallly when that is the cheapest out of the lot... And every seller is playing off each other by offering the same postage and handling fee..

I have embossed envelopes for invitations on several occasions and as long as the weight and size of the envelope don't require extra postage there won't be an extra charge. I've been pleased with how the embossing survives delivery and people have been impressed with the extra touch.

I'm sorry to disagree with the OP, but I don't think your buyer's request is unreasonable to combine postage. Unless things are tiny and you might be able to send them as large letters rather than a small packet, it is always cheaper to send one heavier parcel than 2 smaller ones. Therefore you would be making a larger profit on postage, which is not in the spirit of ebay. Plus, the majority of...

Here's another vote for Endicia. Pluses greatly outweigh the minuses--the minuses being...well, you have to PAY for it! $15.95 a month plus whatever your postage costs are...same as USPS charges, with some discounts available on Priority Mail and delivery confirmation. Here's what I like about it: 1) print practically any class of shipping you like from Priority Mail, 1st class, media ...
