I'm writing a post apocalyptic script and have been watching "good" films for a while now on similar subject. Movies like all the Mad Max, Night/Dawn/Day of living dead, A boy and his dog, Threads, The day of the Triffids, postman (it was decent in my book... not as bad as everyone always says it is), planet of the apes, 28 days and weeks later...etc.. I've seen quite a few. But these were ...

and my google-fu is very weak, since I can't remember either the author OR the title. The author was on a talk show last year, so I know it's very recent, but I am having no luck finding it. It wasn't "The Road" - that's about all I got. So, can you people who still remember things help me out? And, on a somewhat related note, trailer for the movie "Book of Eli" with Denzel Washington, ...

I love the post apocalyptic, I'm not going to lie, and the amount of games with the setting is pretty cool, HOWEVER... Can we please have one that doesn't have mutants and creatures!! My favourite part of Fallout 3 for example was places like Rivit city and megaton, that show how the humans were still forming cities and religions (Church of the Atom) and self policed societies, and raiders who ...

yeah I don't like how western developers choose their scenarios. Fallout 3 was awful and depressing. Borderlands was awful too. of course it fits their setting but nowadays all developers are doing that. and Dragon Age was just another old fashioned wannabe fantasy with nothing that stands out. fantasy futuristic with a beautiful style is the way to go. That's why it's good FFXIII has ...

He ignored her query for a name....for the moment, he was still assessing if she was friend of foe. "Well, maybe I should say, I mean no harm to those who don't wish ME harm," he replied, nodding slowly in affirmation, acknowledging this strange woman's point. He felt somewhat uncomfortable as he noted her scanning him up and down, as if somehow appraising his worth, and his distrust flared ...

Patriots was all right when the author was writing fiction and not inserting "how to" information about everything useful to survive an end-of-the-world scenario. I will say the author has done his homework and if you're looking for a how-to, you'd be pretty hard pressed to find a better source.
