So here's the story: My 1995 P38 4.0 threw a P0138 code and I kept driving it normally. Worked fine until I'm exiting the highway and the truck stalls, saying gearbox fault, tcs fail, etc. I get the car started after about 20 minutes and limp home. I research, narrow the issue down to the crankshaft position sensor, order part ADU7342L and replace. Truck starts. Only problem is ...

Driving back from the mountains yesterday down I-70 I get a check engine light. 30 seconds later, engine completely shuts down at 70mph. Make my way to the shoulder and engine turns, but no RPM register and no start. Trouble code of P0340 - which indicates Cam Position Sensor. Here is my question. Is it necessary to set the engine to top dead center to change the sensor or is it simply...

My mom's car throws this code. She has a 2006 Grand Prix SE. All the reading points to a bad sensor and the way my mom describes is that the car dies (no power), still runs, and the DIC says something to the effect of reduced engine power. I'm pretty sure the sensor on top of the accelerator peddle will be the cause because you can move it 0 to 100% and the car does nothing when this CEL ...

Have a 99 Silverado that keeps shutting off while driving. Changed the crankshaft position sensor twice. Still getting same code. Can bad battery be causing sensor to fail repeatedly? This started happening after putting in a new battery.

99 silverado keeps dying while driving. Replaced crankshaft position sensor twice and injector A fuses. Battery had been replaced prior to this beginning. Can bad battery cause sensor and or fuses to keep failing?

I finally got the car to start after replacing the Engine speed sensor and a couple days later the car is running like crap. It will boost to 23psi but seems like it's running in place. When you get on the throttle the exhaust is extremely raspy. I pulled codes with VAG-COM and got the following: 17755 - Camshaft Position Sensor 2 (G163)/ Engine Speed Sensor (G28): Incor. Correl P1347 - 35-00 ...

Looks like my bank 1 (passenger side) camshaft position sensor is on its way out as I'm getting a P1338 code. I have a v6 and I was wondering if its fine to only replace one side and should I go with an OEM part or can I get away with a non-OEM or ebay part? The ebay parts is about half of the non-OEM (bosch) part and the non-OEM part is abut half of the OEM part.

I'am having a recurring problem with the gear position sensor on my k8 750. I have had it replaced twice under warranty so far, the first time it was replaced at around 6months and the new one worked fine for another 7-8months and then the same problem came back where it wont display neutral or 0 as it comes up on the display. Now with the one i have just had replaced only a week ago its already ...

The bike is running a bit off; not sure if it's the cleaned injectors, but after inspecting the bike a bit -- I noticed the PowerCommander "led" showed there was some throttle on... So, I checked the TP readings. I took a reading between the 3 leads: Code: K-Ohm readings: blue - black/brown Red-blue closed throttle 1.26 4.34 Open throttle 4...

We were doing basic troubleshooting after the information that you and Roland relayed. We removed the cam sensor and noticed the spacer was no longer on it nor can it be found in the cavity where the sensor goes into. We were wondering if the spacer is supposed to separate and sink into the inner cavity or if it is supposed to stay on the sensor or in between the sensor and the initial plate in...
Recently I had to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) in my 2000 S500 due to some starting issues. It is an incredibly quick and easy change, but since it seems like it's a common failure with these cars, I figured I'd document the procedure. BACKGROUND First - I started to notice starting the car when hot took more cranking than normal. Then ...
