Well this certainly isnn't healthy, but my mum used to make it when we were kids and it's really nice. Basically, brown the oats off in a tablespoon of ghee then add milk and sugar, might sound weird, but trust me, it's really divine...

Lately a couple of self styled "hop heads" have been asking me for a couple of pellets so they can drop them in their beer at the bar! I have obliged, and they swear by it. Has anyone else had this phenomenon? They apparently don't mind the green porridge left at the bottom. Hey, whatever spins your crank

I am an opportunist shopper so I will buy bogofs on veggie specials like Sainsburys fab veg hamburgers. Porridge I could just use Lidl's own at 35p, but I mix it with exotic ones. I do have ...

Oaty ideas... Porridge… Mix half a teaspoon of cinnamon into half a cup of rolled oats, add 1.5 cups of milk and microwave on high for 3-4 minutes (make sure the bowl is big enough or it will overflow). Add some chopped dates and a drizzle of maple syrup for sweetness, and some broken walnuts are good too. Swiss-style bircher muesli... 4 tablespoons rolled oats (or 3 +1 tbspn wheat bran) ...
