I'm currently trying to decide whether to go with the Garmin 255W or 255WT...I've read that the 255WT (or any of the Garmins with the free traffic updates) have pop up ads that appear on your Garmin from time to time. Is this true? TripleB

I am no computer geek by any means, but for those forced to use IE, this may help some with pop-ups. Click tools, then internet options, then privacy. Make sure that pop-up block is turned on and raise security setting to medium high, I wouldn't raise it much higher, it may block some things you will need to see. This works for me when I'm on IE and I seldom have problems with pop-up ads.
