I've often wondered about a few things on this topic. How do Christians feel when politicians take a stance in the name of Christianity? (For example Prop 8 in CA, many politicians claimed it was a "Christian" stance, not a political stance). I also wonder how Christians feel about about this alignment with the right and how it relates to economic stances (how the far right appeals to Christians...

Where to begin......... Politics in the United States- People on both ends of the ideological spectrum in this country live under the mistaken belief that politicians are problem-solvers and that their stated ideologies drive their stands on positions. IMHO, nothing could be further from the truth. Politicians in this country are ...

I'm just wondering why you ban topics that I can feel that people should be able to discuss maturely? Myself, I would put the forum rules on this point at something like a typical western country; freedom of speech but nothing explicitly offensive is tolerated (ie objectively offensive). Is it because you want to keep the topics in a special type?

The health care package is nothing but government control over our lives. Who ever heard of a health care plan that fines you for not signing up. Its just another step towards a dictatorship. Obama is no different than Bush. Obama is just a slick talking Bush with a smile. He has lied about everthing, like ending the wars. He is just another freemason, like Lenin, Stalin and Hitler. The Obama ...

There is just not the hard sciences but softer sciences of metascience, humanities, arts, religion, economics, psychology, philosophy, morality, and politics etc that are taking place. This understanding is where the hard sciences are woefully lacking since it only looks at the underlying physical technology of everything and not what is being technologized which is the soft sciences too. The ...

Quote: WASHINGTON, D.C. -- When the archbishop of Boston said John F. Kennedys funeral Mass in 1963, he departed from the Latin text to address the late president in English. Liberals believe in abortion and gay marriage. They probably will say keep religion out of politics. How we vote is a reflection of what we believe. If we believe a man can make us richer and we vote for him based on that, our faith is in that man. If we believe abortion is murder and we vote to uphold it, our faith is strange. If we believe our children should not be taught that gay ...
