I know people rave on Canon camera's but I've had two in the past and the pictures come out extremely grainy and were heavy. What is a good point and shoot digital camera that's under $250? I'm leaning towards Nikon, Fuji, or Sony but any brand besides Canon really.

I have a couple of 35mm self loading point and shoot cameras that are probably 10-15 years old. They are roughly the size of 4 iPhones stacked on top of each other One is a Fuji Dl-250 with a 34-53mm telephoto lens. The other is a Panasonic C-2200ZM with a 35-70mm zoom. Does anyone know if a demand still exists for this type of camera?

Well Xmas is coming soon and my wife Has hinted she wants a new camera, at the moment we have a Canon A40 2 mp, has been a great camera, our only small whine is it is slow to re-take shots. My budget is $200 is and it would be nice to get a kit form with an extra battery, mem card, bag etc Looking for suggestions, thanks.
