I need a new camera to take pictures of my kids and cannot decide what to get. Let me tell you what I have and don't like. I currently have an Olympus Stylus can't remeber which one but it has 5x zoom. I want 5x zoom or higher. I want the pictures to be less grainy in low light. I like the smile detection feature that I have seen on newer cameras. I hate the delay time between pressing the ...

Hello, I am looking to purchase a digital camera with a small form factor so that it will easily fit into a pocket, and in the price range of < $200. This will be used for all-around purpose shooting, from landscapes to action shots, so there is not a single specific purpose. I was currently looking at the Kodak EasyShare M381 and the Canon SD1200 IS, as they have seemed to be getting ...

Hello, I am looking to purchase a digital camera with a small form factor so that it will easily fit into a pocket, and in the price range of < $200. I was currently looking at the Kodak EasyShare M381 and the Canon SD1200 IS, as they have seemed to be getting pretty good reviews. I like the fact that the Kodak M381 has a 5X optical zoom, whereas the Canon only has a 3X. Are ...

hi all, my mum wants me to find her a digital camera...which is usually an easy task apart from the fact that she has asked for it to have a viewfinder. I didnt think this would be a problem until i started to research...and it seems they dont make cameras with viewfinders anymore?! Does anyone have any suggestions? Just a point and shoot camera required...nothing fancy. Thanks in advance.

I really hope someone here can help me! I have a Canon SD 880 IS and I always get a blurry picture if my kids move while I take a picture. What is the best setting to use to avoid this? My urgency is that my boys are both competing in a Regional Taekwondo tournament tomorrow and I would love to get some decent pictures. Or is it impossible with a point and shoot? PLEASE help me!!!

I know people rave on Canon camera's but I've had two in the past and the pictures come out extremely grainy and were heavy. What is a good point and shoot digital camera that's under $250? I'm leaning towards Nikon, Fuji, or Sony but any brand besides Canon really.

Hey Guys, Going to start and take up Photography with my wife who is already an expert. I am looking to get a point and shoot camera but have no idea what to get. The reviews all seem wonderful but I just want a camera for under $250. I just want a camera that has the best or exceptional image/photo quality to be used in various levels of light. Don't really care if it has HD video ...

Low light capabilities typically means using a low-density image sensor... This means that, for two cameras with the same MP count, the one with the larger sensor should be better (though newer processing chips on the cameras can help even the odds). All P&S cameras will be slow -- they focus by sampling portions of the image sensor looking for edge contrasts. A "smile detection" or "face ...

Brilliant, cheers for that! The only one I could find was the Canon IXUS 100 IS...and the viewfinder is so small you can barely see through it. Seems Canon may well be the only manufacturer still making point and shoot cameras with viewfinders! I suppose they think people are used to just using the screen by now...and the screens are pretty good even on bright sunny days.
