What about all the people that fish from Riis Park or from the Tin Can grounds or off Staten Island????

Poachers "wiped out" the entire elephant herd in Sierra Leone's only wildlife park, wildlife managers said Thursday after police said they had arrested a gang of 10 poachers. "It is likely that the elephant population is wiped out," Ibrahim Bangura, senior superintendent of the agriculture ministry's Conservation and Wildlife Management Unit. I've seen whole herds wiped out in Colorado. Use to go watch the heards of Elk come down this one trial in the mountain it was a great experience to bring guest to see and enjoy. Now the entire herd was wiped out by poachers. The same thing is happening in Nevada. What do you think would be an appropriate penalty to stop this greedy practice by dumb a ss es.

TIP Hotline Phone Number = 1-800-241-4113 With the delayed harvest season starting this month it seemed a good time to remind folks to put the TURN IN POACHERS number in their cellphones. Every year ethical trout fishermen go out on the delayed harvest waters and invaribly somebody posts on NGTO that they saw a violation and did not have the number. Remedy that now. Plug in the ...

November 6, 2009, 11:13 am Two Fish Poachers Arrested in Brooklyn By Sam Sifton Here is good news for those who loathe the men who spend their days dragging umbrella rigs through the coastal waters of the New York Bight, hauling striped bass and bluefish into their boats by the dozen, then selling them illegally to unscrupulous fishmongers and restaurants throughout ...

Today I took my sister, niece and son out fishing for his 9th birthday. We did the Cayuga Creek Tour that Dpiscator took me on. Our first stop was the small spot about 1/4 mile south of the Lockwood Fire Department on Route 34 in NY. We got out, all excited and ready to fish. To our collective dismay, and my outright anger, the only entranceway to the water was filled with three deer ...

The NO SALE was a hard fight. Thanks to MD's over fishing years ago Jersey fishermen took up the challenge to make the striper a "Sportfish". Here is an article written by a biased New Englander. Yes I known it says she is an avid rec fisherman. Just let her tirade do her talking. For once I am proud of NJ!!!! While the grotesque unfairness of the legislated ban on the sale of ...
