Plural - Topic profile

Could somebody please answer this? Why is it appear number one for one of my chosen keywords in the plural form but when i tap in the same keyword but in the singular form, i'm nowhere to be found? I find this really strange - I am thinking now that I should optimise for singular and the plural will follow... but I always thought optimise for plural and you will get the ...

Hi, I've noticed that one of our biggest keywords suddenly dropped from 2 to about 30 in Google. However the plural form of the same keyword is still where it was (position 2). I don't understand why this has happened since I thought Google stemmed everything. Has anything like this happened to anybody else recently? Shall I change the content of the page to mention the singular more often...

I have been logging on your website for a long time now. Unfortunately, I have kept noticing the same mistake during all these years. The plural for "Forum" is "Fora" and not "Forums" (it's a latin word after all). I was being patient at first but you really need to fix this since it makes the site look pretty bad. Crystal I agree with almost all of xo379's. But I think 1 should just be "aircraft". And my spell-checker says 20 should be "spoonfuls" instead of "spoonfulls". Tom

Thanks for your response. The conversion rate for both terms is around the same but the singular brings in more traffic (or at least it did). Checking by hand or using my ranking software (which I think screen-scrapes rather than uses the API) I've seen the keyword has been way down for a few weeks now.
