Does anybody know the specification for the control plunger seal clearence on the fuel distributor for a 1990 300E?? I have the book "Bosch Fuel Injection & Engine Management" and I read it is one of the most important adjustments you can make on the fuel system.

I'm trying to make a test tube stirling engine and I'm having issue with the piston. Right now, I have a plastic syringe with the plunger wrapped with teflon tape (rubber gasket thingy is off). While this gives me a decent enough piston, it just isnt cutting it. Ideally I would use a glass syringe, but that isn't a option right now. Do you guys have any suggestion on a syringe and...

OK, I've got a question. Who uses small triplex plunger pumps for applications other than pressure washers? What are those applications? Curious to see how these are used. Thanks!

Yanmar 2Qm20H I seem to have a stuck plunger in the high pressure pump. The enginine supposedly ran when placed in storage. I had hooked the fuel feed backwards but donÂ’t think it should have done anything serious. The delivery valve was stuck. Fuel comes out of the pump but as soon as the delivery valves are tightened it stops from one cylinder. IÂ’ve replaced ...

A few smiths mention that they "bond" the safety plunger to the frame. Having been the victim of loose plunger tubes in the past, I'm looking into ways to make the tube more stabile. One option is the Michiguns "4 stake" plunger tube - which is still a strong possibility. Another is this bonding mentioned above. Is anyone familiar with exactly what is used for this bonding process - ...

I Left Kauai March 1st, 2009. Came back to the island on the 26th of Oct. Left my 97 TDI Passat covered at a camp and one of the workers was to start it every month. Car was running fine before I left. Deadbeat worker never started it once. Tried to start it, but lots of air in the lines as the fuel leaked back down the lines. Tried to get fuel in the pump with an external fuel pump. Noticed the...

I pulled the IAC and cleaned it. On re-install the engine idled good for the first start, then on subsequent starts it won't hold an idle at all. I pull the IAC again and the plunger actions feels a bit sloppy or spongy but I don't know if that's normal. When I connect it & turn the key on, it retracts the plunger and has a high-pitched hum until I disconnect it or turn the key off. ...

One of the only things I don't like about the V is the inability to spend time in the driveway detailing it with music playing and the door(s) open. The door alarm is piercing, and there is no plunger switch in the doorjamb that can be depressed to turn it off. I have the alarm set to "normal" volume thru the DIC (who would have it louder?? ), and the dealer tells me there's no way to turn it ...

I installed the clutch on a 2002 Elantra and when I push the clutch in it goes in just fine. Then I let it out and push it back in and its stiff. The clutch release lever with the plunger doesn't set back into place. What am I missing that it needs to be pushed back in?

I've got my oil changes down to "one paper towel" but grease lubrication requires the entire rest of the roll. I'm constantly fighting this thing loosing prime, unable to eject the grease, leaking, messy, stuck plunger, etc. Anyone have a recommendation on a user friendly grease gun that's easy to prime? Does a "one paper towel" grease gun exist?

I recently changed my brake pads on my 03 accord and everything went good until that rear right brake. The caliper was really hard to get off and twisting the plunger back in required a lot of force. When I got everything back together and did a test drive that same area was making a noise when I applied the brakes. When I looked at the rotor it seems like only part of the pad was touching the ...

I am putting the TB swap parts back on now. I am noticing the plunger on the hydraulic tensioner is hitting the tensioner roller a little to one side. Does this look OK? http://i896.photobucket.com/albums/a...oneguy/pin. jpg

Denny character (Patrick Kilpatrick) Then Denny said "Nothing like a chocolately goodness that will calm me down", made me wonder how many takes these guys did this without laughing. As sick as the scene was..toilet plunger/sodomy threat scene had me rolling. Kilpatrick really knows how to go over the top and play a good sicko. His performance in Substitute 4 was pretty identical in...
