Having watched every episode of Monk, I fully expected a well-constructed plot for The End Part Two. The End Part One set high expectations, but Part Two was weak in so many ways. As a fiction writer myself, here are just a few problems I have with the finale: (1) As Ethan Rickover's career progressed, he would have wanted Trudy "dead quiet" sooner rather than later, especially as she had ...

So I'm sitting here watching the theatrical cut of A New Hope and I can't help but notice some interesting plot holes. Let's discuss them. Some I've noticed so far. Leia recognizes the name Ben Kenobi and shouts it in the cell when she only knew him as Obi Wan, there wasn't even a slight hesitation for the confusion of names like Luke had. Leia lets them go to the secret rebel base right ...

Someone mentioned plot holes as one of their negatives about this movie. I haven't seen it yet, but if it follows the book I can't see where the plot holes would be. Are there plot holes or is this just someone who doesn't understand what a plot hole is? The Internet forum allows things you would never have the balls to say face to face.

I'm sure there are a ton of tiny discrepensies with the story as it relates to the original game, but there is one that just stood out. When you release Gracie as Niko, he released him to her father, right? But in the Ballad, Gay Tony is there and i think he says the same things as her father. In fact, i think its his voice put over Tony's animation. So i don't have a save in the previous game ...

Correct me if I'm wrong. In the episode 'Mr. Monk and the Three Pies' Ambrose reveals that Trudy was getting him medicine, something Monk didn't know. Yet she told him she was getting Ambrose the medicine in the newest episodes flashback. In the episode 'Mr. Monk and the Employee of the Month' his former partner Jow Christie said HE was with Monk, at his desk when MONK got the call. Now I...

The movie lost sci-fi credibility to me soon into the movie, as soon as the Trey said that he forgot to change the shields to the angle of approach to the sun when calculating the new trajectory. I'm not a mathematician or a scientist but I think that a factor as hugely important as that could not be overlooked by either the navigator or the computer. Not only is the trajectory of flight ...

I abhor time travel plots. There are several "internally consistent" time travel types... when you get a time travel story it typically uses an inherently inconsistent model or it switches models midway. Even if it manages to avoid the most obvious pot holes, it still ends up full of plot holes... So here is the challenge. Can someone name any single story, comic, book, movie, or whatever;...

I just read another thread mentioning plot holes. I wonder if posters around here know what a plot hole is. The Internet forum allows things you would never have the balls to say face to face.

There's really only one glaring plot hole in the film, and that is the notion of Pinbacker boarding the Icarus II. I suppose he could have made it on the Icarus II whilst it was docked with Icarus I, but even then the computer should have informed the crew of another biological entity appearing on the ship. Everything else you pointed out aren't plot holes, but general problems with the film. ...

Of course it's only a movie, so we shouldn't mind a car chase that results in no consequences. Also this film is certainly loaded with technical bloopers (like the MacBook webcam @redlight-- good catch) For me, the largest plot hole occurs when Gates&Co realize that Mitch is actually after a City of Gold, not so much to smear the Gates name. Gates makes a statement like "We can't let the ...
