i agree, the playing field would be the same and the ones who hit the buy buttons before the emails go out would not make as much, but its a lopsided situation and we know who are the ones making money and who are the baggholders, some will say no we get in like everyone else but remember its money you are talking about and if you can make a few grand by hitting the buy button before everyone ...

Ive compared the two players side by side, and think VLC media player has tons of more features then RealPlayer does. It plays DVDs without a decoder, Lets me watch Live TV on XP and pause it so I can get up where I left off, and lots more. When it comes to RealPlayer, its somewhat complete for the most part, but it makes you begging for more after you see the two players in action...

Listen this is an even playing field and that was the concept of this board. As far as mods, 2 of them did not get in and the other 2 including me chased and bought high and sold for a loss. No one has a leg up on the other here unless you have a faster computer and fingers.

In the future, is the online gaming industry going to try to make a better attempt at leveling the playing field when it comes to connection. I have been an online gamer for several years now and from time to time play with people who are "invulnerable". This does not mean that they are necessarily good players, it just refers to the fact that they are playing faster than my screen renders them...

BUG: *what happened- joining any game (alone or on a server) gives me a blank playing field, so I can't choose a puzzle, resume or cancel a saved puzzle, or actually play the game. it's just blank (though everything besides that works, including chat and the list of players at the top). *what caused it- just trying to play jigsaw normally OPERATING SYSTEM: Mac OS 10.5.8 (Leopard)...

OR Bama Florida and USC could stop paying players that should level out the playing field I would say. Also alternate the location of the Rose bowl and say the Capitol One bowl into a midwest town every other year so a Big Ten team doesnt always have to play Florida in Florida LSU in Louisiana and USC in So Cal. Homefield advantage in bowl games is cool. ...

If you notice, VLC installs about 50 MB of plugins in: C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\plugins - about 272 files including it's own DVD decoder. That is why VLC will play back content even when you don't have the 'proper codec installed' But, I agree, there is always room for improvement.
