Rotoworld.com reports that Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr. is interested in picking up Placido Polanco to play 3rd base...... Not to many 2nd to 3rd moves being made these days. I'm not sure if Polly's would be able to make that transition.

33 years old and he may be available this winter if the Tigers decide against bringing him back. He is a clutch hitter and steady with the glove. Of course Castillo would have to be moved. Sign him to a 2 year deal with an option for a third. What do you think?

I've heard a lot of people saying that he's 'probably' gone, but why? He had a bad season by his own glorious standards, but he still ended up hitting like .280, right? He's going to be cheaper this off-season than he would have been following any other in recent memory. Why not resign him to a one year deal and break in a young player behind him this upcoming season?
