Pink eye, pregnant, can I treat it myself? I think I have pink eye and I don't want the antibiotic drops from a doctor if I can avoid them. Is it safe to wait and see if my eye will clear on it's own? It came on suddenly last night. It's red, puffy and warm but not oozy or terribly uncomfortable. I ...

My DD woke up from her nap with 2 pink eyes. The whites are totally pink. No goop, and they aren't bothering her. She has a little runny nose and a slight cough which is totally normal for this time of year for her since she attends daycare. Can it be the start of pink eye? She's never had it before.

Ew, both of my eyes just turned bright red within the last hour. This is only the second time in my life I've had pink eye and I have no idea how it is transmitted. Is there any way I can keep from giving it to my son?

Alcon is CLEARLY interested in curing/relieving pink eye problems as our EKC-Cide is. Would Alcon be interested in more than one product doing much the same thing? THAT is the question. Maybe. Maybe not - it depends, in my mind, on which is best. And that I do not know - perhaps they do.

My daughter is 9 months and she has pink eye. I wanted to know if pink eye had anything to do with a staph infection. My sisters kids had a staph infection recently, and I wanted to know if she could have a staph infection but the doctors assume its pink eye.

I have a few questions about pink eye. First of all, what is the difference btw pink eye (bacterial infection right?) and just goop from a cold (viral?) and how do you know the difference? We do have a cold right now (and have had pink eye before) and it seems that when my kids woke up today they're eyes were really red inside the lids, goopy, and itchy, more so than they ...

it hurts so bad. it needs to go away before tuesday because i have the suns vs. spurs game to go to! thank god there is this creepy doctor at my work who is in love with me because i had him call in a script for me so i didn't have to waste 75 dollars at urgent care.
MEDICAL ADVICE Remove any discharge with a clean cloth. Use chloramphenicol eye drops during the day and apply chloramphenicol eye ointment before going to sleep at night. Wear sunglasses to avoid light. Avoid touching your eyes and don’t let others touch your eyes (this is to prevent transmission). There are some easy to use HOME REMEDIES too....

I'm pretty sure my DS has the viral form of pink eye. He's been sick the past 4 days with an on and off low grade fever and congestion, and now the white of his right eye is pink the rim is red. There is no crusty stuff or mucus or anything and it's only in one eye. This, along with the rest of his symptoms is what leads me to conclude that he has the viral form. So, my first instinct is of ...

Emma had Pink Eye in April of this year. She gave it to herself cause she had a cold and would rub her nose and then rub her eyes. She had all the mucus and crusty eyes. They gave her a prescription for some drops. Can't they give you some sort of drops to clear it up even if its just a viral infection.

I am sorry, but I had to laugh when I read that your DH said he does not like you. Only because that it exactly what I say to my DH when we get into an argument. Not very adult like, I know. Hope you and your kids get better soon.

My son had pink eye a few times. Docs are pretty good about diagnosing it because it's so common. I would trust your doctor on this. Use the eye drops for the amount of time you were told. If it returns (or something similar returns), take your daughter back to the doctor. It could be viral pink eye and drops don't work on that - it would just have to run it's course and you treat the ...

Thanks ladies! There is no pink today but it looks like it might start gooping a bit. She is really congested today though, so I wonder if it's just a cold? I'm in So Cal and the weather just went from cool in the 60's to high 70's dry and windy....which pretty much always brings on the sniffles for us everytime. Her doctor has some walk in hours this morning, so I'll keep my eye on it to see if...
