Help: how to change Front/outer pinion bearing? The front bearing is out on the chunk behind the yolk on the differential. It has about 1/2 inch of play/flop in it, and it's leaking grease. It's had a trimble all week at certain speeds, like the driveshaft is warped; now I know what it is. Any tricks to changing the bearing? Will the race need to be ...

Just finished an axle swap, and went with the Dana 44. For sale is the old Dana 35, complete from drum to drum. Would need gears, if not would be great for spare axle shafts. Also have 3.55 ring and pinion for a Dana 30 and a set for a Dana 44. Accepting all reasonable offers, I appreciate your time. Read more...

Not high pinion :-P Hey gang....long time no post.... Finally got some cash to get back under my YJ. After installing Superlift's X2 kit, my rear Dana 44 is pointed sorta steep to comply with the CV shaft and lift. This seems like a straightforward situation, but how do I fill the diff now to the right level? Luckily, my diff cover has a vent tube connection at the top of it (Honda ...

My son races a 92 ka24de on a dirt oval race track...the stock (4.08) gear is a little to much gear for this track....I have been reading and I've seen ppl replacing the ring and pinion gear from a J30--1995 (3.86) or a 1997-01 Q45 (3.69) with no other mods...My question is......are they replacing just the ring/pinion gear or are they replacing the whole pumpkin head/hoghead? Thanks for any ...

I have a 1978 Mustang II that has power steering and I'm going to convert it to manual soon. But is there anything that I need to know before hand. I have been told that the steering linkage is different and a few more stuff. So if anyone knows I would appreciate the help.

Read here about my recent experience: AVOID Rick Wurth he may be a scam artist! - Mustang Forums at StangNet Updates will be posted as things progress. Don't fall into this trap. Now I cannot assemble my car and install the new engine either since I really don't have another $1700.00 or so dollars to buy another rack from another vendor. Be careful out there; don't deal with ...

Guys, My 73 240 with a R200 installed has unacceptable gear whine in the Cruise Mode. No noise under acceleration or deceleration. I set the backlash at .008 many years ago. I believe the spec is .004 to .008. I am hoping that reduced backlash will reduce the kinetic energy gained as the ring bounces back and forth against the pinion in the cruise mode. I would like to try .003...
