I'm pretty sure I have a pinched nerve in my lower right back area. The injury happened 2 months ago and I haven't been able to deadlift or do any rows, because bending over and putting weight in my hands makes my back hurt. I'm going to the doctor in a couple weeks (earliest I can in college), so I won't be able to start any physical therapy or anything for about a month. The whole ...

I think I may have a pinched nerve in my neck. My neck hurts (off and on) and down my shoulder just a bit. My right arm and hand will feel as if they are "asleep" on occasion. It isn't unbearable, but it's bothering me. Anyone ever had this? Is it something I really should see a doctor about or is there something I can do myself to help/fix it? (I've read online that it ...

First off, I have seen a ER doctor and regular doc for a pinched nerve in my neck 2 weeks ago. I was on presc. pian meds for 5 days and am currently on Advil 3X a day. Did anyone ever have pinched nerve pain starting in the neck and radiating towards bicep? How long did it take to go away? What helped?

I had constant low back pain with my first pregnancy that would occasionally "bite" and cause more like sharp pains but never had any real problems from it. Well it is starting earlier this time and I am having the sharp biting pains when I move. Last night when I was at my parents my dad asked me what was wrong because I could barely move on the couch. Something I was just planning to get ...

So the doc says I pinched a nerve in my neck (C6) and I now have radiating pain in my left shoulder, bicep, tricep, forearm, elbow and numbness in my thumb. I was on strong prescription meds for a week and am currently on Advil- 3 tabs 3 times a day. I have 2 small kids (1 and 4). Doc did not think I need an MRI for about a month after physical therapy (starts in a week). All I want to ...

Does anyone have a good (or bad ) experience with prednisone? I know it's a steriod. I have a pinched nerve, some irritation around c-6 (my neck). At times my left arm will go numb and have bad nerve pain, other times my neck has sharp pains beyond the normal stiffness and aches I feel. My head and face has been hurting as well. My head feels like someone is squeezing the sides of it. Generally ...

Is anyone else dealing with this? My sciatic nerve is pinched and it hurts like crazy when I walk!! Has anyone else been experiencing this??? Do you know of any stretches that can help? It seems like it is WAY to early for this nerve to be pinched! I know it is normal during pregnancy to get a pinched nerve but from what I have heard this doesn't happen until late in the 2nd trimester. UGH! I...

I had one after my first ds was born in my back. It didn't go away for over a year. It still bothers me sometimes if I stand or sit in a weird position. I was told to take aleve. It hurt like crazy at first and I wanted to smack the doctor, but he said there was nothing that could be done. I should have gone to a chiropractor. My dad has one in his neck. It goes down to his shoulder and...

And there are a couple of other possibilities as well. Fusions are usually done with a protein called BMP(bone morphogenic protein) and that speeds up the making of bone in the fused area so fusions are good after 3 months when it used to be 6-12 months. However, it has recently been shown to cause overgrowth of the fused bone into the fusion area creating more problems. And you never know...

I'm seeing a back specialist today for my pinched nerve in my back. Hang in there, I know it sucks. I've tried chiro which helped a little. I've been going to physio too. Give both a try, if you don't feel relief after awhile then go back to doc and get MRI. I have two mommy friends who needed surgery and felt great afterwards. If it makes you feel better I've seen a lady that I go to ...

I have taken prednisone several times before, but that was for breathing problems. All I really remember is that I ate like there was no tomorrow and was really irritable. I never had any other problems but it's not a medicine you want to stay on long term. Sorry, I guess I'm not much help. I hope you can get some relief from your pain soon!
