So I just bought EZ Press from coastal scents to try to press my pigments. But my 1/4 tsp are not enough to press. I also feel like I'm not doing it right. I spray the pan with alcohol and mix the pigment with ez press. Then I put the pigment in the pan and press it with foil and a quarter. Then spray more and put more shadow in. It just seems like it could be neater. Any secrets on how to make ...

seeing healed results with some powdered pigments, for me, they seem to be just so much more saturated than some of the old predispersed standards (starbrite, etc). I saw some old spaulding powdered ink, probably 20-30 years old and the ornage was still pretty vivid. is this application or true to the powders? i have had great success with the healed results of waverly colors. anyone have...

Hello, I am trying to use 3ds Max Design to show how oil paintings in a museum would look under different lighting conditions. In order to get my visualizations as accurate possible, is it possible to assign specific materials or refractive index for specific colors (i.e., pigments) in the painting? Any other suggestions would be appreciated; I am an art historian learning this software on my ...

http://www.nylonmag.com/?section=article&parid=410 Lancome used to make a nail polish with a magnet on the bottle. You'd paint your nails and then put them near the magnet, which would create a starburst pattern by attracting and repelling charged pigments. Is it just me or could this be done with a pinch of iron oxide powder in any nail polish?

Hi folks, here it's part of a sentence the meaning of whom is totally hermetic to my brain. Each collection increases on an average of 11% more pigments vs the previous one (ie from Medium from Fair, and from Dark from Medium ) to increase the shade intensity . It's about lipsticks shades for different skin tones. Is this locution right? Can it exist? What does it mean? Thank you
