Does the patchy loss of pigmentation in a pale flat mole have the same sinister significance as an increase in pigmentation or other changes? There is no bleeding, reddening or change of shape, nor anything else.

I would like to learn about the different pigmentation disorders that have been or could be seen in fish. About the only disorder I know about is albinoism but my knowledge of that isn't that great - would be nice to learn about that and more.

I mean, i thought skin pigmentation was largely a product of evolution and conforming to one's environment. I'd think that eskimos would be more white and pale, kinda like northern europeans and russians.
