Hi my rig is the one in my sig below. I was thinking of getting an Nvidia card to sit alongside it to use purely for Physx. I wanted advice on a couple of points: i. Is this hard to do? Do I literally put the new card into the second slot, go to my devices in Windows and select that card as Physx only? Or do I have to download some speciic software and start messing around deeper?...

Hey all Okay, since Nvidia stopped Physx working with ATI systems, there has been a patch released that allows it. My question is whether anyone has got it working or not? What card for Physx are you using? I was thinking of only using a cheap 9600 with my 2 x 4890s. Please refer me to another thread if the answer is there Thanks BaD EDIT: My mobo is the 3 x PCI slot ASUS Rampage ...

Its about billad game. I simulate two identical hits but after all balls stop I have 2 different situations on the table. I can accurate it by subSteps in the physX.init() function but even with 1000 subSteps situations are slightly different. I need 100% identical situations after identical hits. Is there any way to do it with Ageia PhysX ? Or I need to code my own physics ?

Diablo III is said to have Physx! We haven't really heard anything new about them lately, but we've seen some of the stuff in the gameplay videos, such as destoying doors, killing monsters, and destroying certain parts of the environment. Do you think that our character will have physx too like in GTA4, say- when a does one of those special kills?

I've got a Geforce 9600GT. My only PhysX enabled game is Batman: Arkham Asylum, and enabling it murders my performance. Yes, PhysX is enabled in the control panel. When I disable it, the frame rate drops to single digits.

Hey all, today I decided to put to use my old 9800gtx+ as a dedicated PhysX card to complement my GTX285. I downloaded the latest drivers, 195.62 with the 09.09.0930 PhysX driver, ran Driver Sweeper as recommended, shut down and installed the 9800gtx+, booted up and installed the new drivers. Next, I opened nVidia control panel and assigned PhysX acceleration to ...

Why do people post screenshots of their benchmark results with hardware accelerated PhysX enabled? Does having to rely on hardware accelerated PhysX for higher scores make them feel better?

Well it all started trying to run Dragon Age: Origins. I am getting the error "Error Initializing Physx" and tells me to go download the latest physic and nvidia drivers. Well I did that, played with it some, kept getting the same error. I did get the Dragon Age to run on Win7 (have a dual xp pro/win7 boot setup, but mainly use xp pro still). So I have finally decided to get serious about...

I am looking for an Nvidia PCI express 1x or PCI card capable of running Physx at a decent clip. I have a an Asus Maximus Formula board and 1 Sapphire 5850 card. I plan on running a second 5850 in Crossfire once prices drop so I don't want a standard PCIe card for Physx. I have 2 available PCI slots and 1 PCIe 1x placed in between the 2 PCIe x16 slots but the only thing I can find in PCIe 1x is ...

I just bought a MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 motherboard. ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130 241 ) It has an on-board nVidia 6150SE. I also bought a GTS 250 video card. Can I have them both operating at the same time and have the 6150SE handle strictly PhysX?

Would this pose any problem? with my sound card and e-sata card, this the best option without sticking the 2 cards right next to each other. thus possibly making the top card hotter. It's a P6T, so the solution would be 5850 on top, GTS 512 on the bottom slot, and the 2 add in cards in between them. Just wondering if the 4x PCI-E speed would hinder the physx performance.

This is NOT the PhysX problem, I got passed that. My problem that I'm having right now is that when the installation of MoFA is at about 50%, it just kind of hiccups and stays there for about 10 minutes. After the time, it shows a message about a file called Maps_ui.xxx in the directories and it can't find or open it and it tells me to see if I can find it. I find it and I click retry and I ...

I installed Shift, applied the patch 1.2, applied the 9.12 (beta) catalyst drivers, and the game runs awesome! BUT! everytime i hit something(another car, sideways, tunnel, etc.) the game micro-stutters at the moment but the game is playable. The micro-stuttering comes from the physx drivers? or other things? PS: i never had these micro-stutters before the 1.2 ...
