Do you have to buy the 'recommended' photo paper made by the manufacturer of the printer? Is there a benefit to this? If not, what would you recommend? I have a pretty cheap photo printer - an MP470 by Canon. Thanks, Ken

Hi, When I tried to use a photo paper with the HP Officejet 4315, the paper gets stuck at the beginning while the printer keeps printing. It doesn't recognize that it is print at the same place (paper not moving). I have to always cancel the print and wasted quite a lot of ink. When I tried a regular paper it printed without any problem. Would there be any way to make the paper move...

Hi all, I just go a Canon Pro9000 Mark11 and ordered some Canon Photo paper pro11. I have been trying to get a photo with a burgundy border to print without turning brown. It seems like when it first comes out of printer, it looks burgundy and then quickly changes to brown. The skin tones are pretty good though?? This same photo with my Pixma5000 and Red River paper is perfect...[trouble is my...

I have two sizes of photo paper... KODAK Anytime Picture Paper - Soft Gloss, 100 sheets, 8 1/2x11 (still in shrink wrap) EPSON Borderless 4x6 Premium Glossy Photo Paper - 90+ sheets (I opened it to try it out and printed less than 10 pictures; don't see myself actually printing my own pictures) The Kodak paper retails for $15 and the Epson for $16 so $20 is great ...

Hi there, I have just purchased a HP Photosmart Premium C309a with fax, and am a printer virgin! (usually just taking my documents to work and printing them there!) After much trial and error, I managed to install the printer to operate wirelessly on my MacBook Pro which is running Snow Leopard, and it seems to print documents just fine, and scanning present no problems. The issue ...

Thanks for all the info and I know from the past that it takes time to get to know the materials and get your system working. Probably start with some VC RC and practice. I know that in the past I used a Kodak projection print scale or did test strips. Ilford has a pack of 25 8x10 paper with 2 rolls of HP5 as a starter kit. The old Enlarger that I had years ago only done 35mm but the 23CIIXL ...

neumanns, I tried it with Red River Ultra Pro this morning and it did the same thing. Yes I do love Red River paper. I wanted just a few sheets of 13x19 so I went cheaper. I have been testing with 1 sheet. Also, what's up with being a member since August of 2005, yet this is your first post? You know last night I was googling for an answer and came to this forum. When I went to ...

Using the printer mfr's paper is recommended but I don't think it is required, at least in my experience. For example, lots of folks report good results with Kirkland paper, the Costco brand. Obviously, Costco doesn't make paper so whoever their supplier is makes a quality product, according to reports on this site. I am having very nice results with an HP semi-gloss paper on my Canon Pixma ...

Hello - I have had this printer Officejet J4580 for about a year and it has worked perfectly. However, I recently got a new desktop and since I've had it connected to it, I can no longer print on photopaper. I'm using Window's vista 64bit and am connected to the printer via the usb cable. It will say it's printing and then when I go to the print queue it says printing but never does ...

I have the Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer. I've had it for a year or more and have enjoyed its' performance immensely. I've printed "canvas" paper with no problems whatsoever. The results are outstanding. I've used the 11 X 17 and 13 X19 "canvas" paper. I also print 8.5 X 11 regular paper all the time with no problem. Now, the printer refuses to take the "canvas" paper, any size. It keeps ...
