I have some canvas phenolic tube from atlas is there any reason I cant (shouldnt) use it for one piece ferrule tip? This will be for a personal cue no worries about patends. What is the pros cons canvas verse linen phenolic? and difference between linen and roled/molded linen phenolic? Thanks J.T.

We are currently evaluating the possibility of curing a phenolic-carbon and phenolic-aramid hybrid laminate in an autoclave versus the ovens that we typically run phenolic parts in. I have heard of horror stories of the phenolic gasing causing vent lines and equipment to "clog up" over time needing replacement. I have also heard that there are certain techniques/equipment that can alleviate...

I need to core and re-tap a 3/8-11 shaft, but I do not have any phenolic rod of a big enough diameter. Do you guys ever use purpleheart or other woods for this application. Or do I need to order the phenolic? Thanks, Josh

Chalky1, "What the betting they used phenolic foam?" Keep your money in your wallet, there's no such thing as a poor bookmaker! The particular London job to which you refer did not involve phenolic foam insulation (I'm afraid I can't post the photos...). Regards, Brian
