For climate like Ottawa Ontario Canada where road salt is used in the winter should we consider rust proofing the Phaeton? A lot of body components are either aluminum or plastic. Regards, Stephane

Hello All, No doubt this has been discussed before, so I certainly appreciate someone taking the time to respond.. My 2004 V8 Phaeton has the TPMS error (tire with slash accross it)... When attempting to either reset to standard settings, or set to the current setting, I simply get the interminable hour glass symbol on all four tires. Some comments: 1. So I flew out to Cincinati to pick up my new Phaeton. Drove the car 7 hours home to Memphis and she didn't miss a beat. Hi all. My 2004 Phaeton V8 is due for its first oil change since I bought it. My local mechanic, who is familiar with the Audi A8L, among other German cars, can perform an oil change for much less than my local VW dealership. Is there any harm in having him change the oil in my Phaeton? He always does a great job with my boss's BMW. - Patrick

The same limitation will apply - rolling resistance, not Cd, will limit top speed. It's just physics, it doesn't matter what the object is. Torque determines ∆V. Horsepower determines Vmax. That's all there is to it. Michael

Thanks for your suggestion.. The moderator Michael, pointed me to the FAQ of the Phaeton, and TPMS is a prominent topic.... Turns out I was able to reset them after the weather stabilized.... Low batteries on the sensor was a possibility to check.. Thanks again.
