Hope some experienced spec's wearers can advise me if this is to be expected... At 46 I've got some prescription glasses for the first time, mainly to use when riding a motorbike. I'm slightly long-sighted and road signs had become a little blurry, but have no problem with close-up vision. Got my glasses a few days ago and everything is certainly in sharp focus, all ...

I have a large avm deep in my left temporal lobe and had 4 embolizations in 2004 and 2 cyberknife treatments for my birthday in April 2005. Now it is 2.5 years later and I have continuted to lose my peripheral vision in both eyes (now at 50% in each eye), and although I have not been tested, my hearing has changed in the last year. No physicans yet to say why things are getting worse, versus ...

For the last 1 year, I have had difficulties focusing on just one person (a person I am talking to or who is speaking) when there are other people's eyes in my vision. My eyes will either dart over to the other person's/people's eyes, or I will be very aware of them in my field of vision, to the point where the person I am not talking to becomes aware that I am "watching" them. Except this I...

Hi. Believe me, it's uncontrollable, tiring and impossible to function normally with people around. My vision was always very good. It's just this "focusing on one thing" problem. This is not nystagmus and not something I imagined. Few people have it to. (see link at the top) I can't think of any cause of this. It just happened. Any idea what this disease could be? How to call it?...

But Dr. Chang is the one who knows what you had and what was done. THe side effects are not generic. They depend heavily on the size, location, and shape of the AVM as well as the method of treatment. I know DR. Chang well enough to know that his not getting paid is not going to preclude his giving you his best opinion. That is why I suggested talking with him. At the time of the above response,...
