I just replaced the rotors, calipers, pads, and blead the breaks and everything worked fine until I tried the e-brake. I thought maybe it needed to be tightened so I did that from the center console but that didn't do anything. Is there something on the caliper I have to tighter or something else I have to do? Thanks

My tightened my parking brake cable because it had too much slack so now the brakes engage but don't dissengage unless I force the cable back into the tubes that go to the drums. Could this be because of bad brake springs or rusted cable or what? Is it an easy fix?

I recently had to put new rotor and pads on the rear of my JK and what I found inside disappointed me. I knew I was in trouble when I couldn't get the rotor off even after backing off the star wheel all he way. A little judicious application of a big hammer broke off the ridge keeping it in place. The amount of scale on the inside were the shoes were to rub was heavy. Only a small track of ...

Hi Does anyone have got the marked parts laying around or could give me a tip which shop offer them? Maybe parts of another modell fit there too? I don´t know why, but any fool built them off and fixed the brake cables up to the frame. Here in Europe is nothing to find and so I´m trying here. Marcel Sorry for my bad english!

So yesterday I decided to change my front brake pads on my 93 lebaron. After getting the front driver side caliper off I proceeded to put the new pads on. Come to find out for some reason these new pads may have been a little to thick because i could not fit both pads on with the rotor nor would the caliper fit back over the pads after being fully depressed. So I put the old pads back...

I have not noticed anything wrong with the car as far as trying to brake is concerned I just don't want it to cause a bigger problem. My parking brake lever doesn't click when you pull up on it, and it won't stay in the up position. Its also missing the button on the end of the lever. I'd like the whole assembly. It unbolts pretty easily and looks like this. I figure one in good working condition is worth about $20 plus shipping.

I'm swapping out my parking/emergency brake lever for another one that's in better shape (dogs got at the original). The dowel that I had holding the spring tension off broke on me and fell out before I could get it back in the car... now the clock spring grabbed all of my slack and I can't pull the connector back far enough to get it mounted again. My parking break cable seems to have cut through the rubber lining, and has started to fall apart. I can't find anyone who sells new parking brake parts, and I can't find a how to on replacing them in the manual. Can anybody give me some pointers? I've been trying to figure this one out on my own for like 3 hours now.

However, I decided to bleed my entire brake system, because the fluid was almost empty at one point (the caliper was leaking and i didn't know) My little brother was helping me, and well, the ...
