My parents would let me get an ipod touch if it has parental controls. I know you can block safari and youtube, but I was wondering if, when it is blocked, if I wanted to use it, if they would be able to simply enter the four digit code and let me go on the internet for a while, or if they would need to change it back to enable me to go online. Thanks.

"The parental control preference could not be unlocked because the user "dw00521" does not have administrative privileges." I don't ever remember creating or adding parental ...

Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong in setting it up so there are time limits for my daughter's use on the computer? I have had Windows Vista for a couple of years and just found out you can set time limits for usage. However, I set the amount of time she could be on...say from 1PM to 4PM and 4PM came and went and no notification that she was going to be logged off. Does it go by some other...

If you have small children then an Internet filter is an important piece of software to keep your children safe. Without a filter a child could accidentally stumble into a hardcore pornography site, or worse find themselves chatting with a pedophile. We recently moved from Windows Vista to Windows 7 on one of our computers. At first it appeared that Microsoft did away with Vista's Parental ...

I am streaming AVI files to my XBOX 360, but I want to separate those videos for my kids and those for the adults. In the family settings on the xbox is a setting for videos, this works great for marketplace content etc, but for streaming video, I want to set the parental rating in media player and have the streaming pick up on this. I have tried several things but have not had a lot of success...

We have a parental control system set up on the computer our teens use. The main purpose is to restrict the amount of time they can use it per day and during which hours, and it also has some internet filters set up to block websites with "adult" content. The other day, my daughter bought herself an iPod Touch. She then asked me for the password to our wireless router so that she could ...

I have opened iTunes on my kids' accounts and disabled iTunes store in the Parental controls. The problem is that I can't lock and prevent further changes. The kids can just go in and unclick the box and enable iTunes store whenever they want. When I try to click the lock to prevent further changes, I get the message "Parental control preferences cannont be locked. You may need to ...

I am seeking help for mounting difficulties with Parental Controls. After successful use for several months, we are now encountering two problems: Web site logging is no longer working. The log shows blank, though the user has accessed sites through both Safari and Firefox. Parental Controls repeatedly crashes after changing from one log (e.g. web sites) to another (e.g. ...

When I am online on FIOS TV Central, I then select "Parental Controls". It shows a draw down menu that implies you can select which settop box you want to set parental controls on. But, the drawdown box only shows one of the three boxes we have. Is this a verizon progrmming program?

I have not had occasion to mess with any parental controls recently until today. I had the page bookmarked that allowed me to control what email addresses my minor child could send and receive email to/from and that page is gone. I cannot for the life of me find anywhere on this site where to adjust parental control settings. I now have another minor child for whom we've created a sub account...

I have subscribed to the parental usage controls for one of the children on my plan. For the last month or so they have worked great with nothing coming in or going on from 10pm to 6am. Now, just this week, I can see on the online usage listings that he has somehow hacked his parental controls and now calls are going out and coming in after 10pm. Verizon reps reset the parental controls but it ...
